Catechese

“Hoewel de catechese die binnen het gezin wordt aangeboden gewoonlijk informeel, ongestructureerd en spontaan is, is zij niet minder cruciaal voor de ontwikkeling van het geloof van het kind. In zekere zin vervangt niets de catechese in het gezin, vooral voor de positieve en ontvankelijke omgeving, voor het voorbeeld van de volwassenen en voor de eerste expliciete ervaring en praktijk van het geloof. De catechese van zuigelingen en jonge kinderen voedt het begin van het geloofsleven
Schoolgaande kinderen moeten formele en systematische catechese ontvangen in een parochieel catechetisch programma, een katholieke school of een programma van thuiscatechese waarin de inhoud van het geloof en de ervaring van het christelijk leven authentiek en volledig wordt gepresenteerd.
Nadat ze binnen het gezin kennis hebben gemaakt met de persoon van Jezus Christus, presenteert catechese voor schoolgaande kinderen zijn leer, zijn bediening en de belangrijkste gebeurtenissen uit zijn leven. Kinderen kunnen de parabels van Jezus gaan waarderen en een glimp opvangen van het Koninkrijk van God”.

 Contribution / Donation

* €70 for the first child
* €50 for the second child and additional children

Payments may be made in cash to any of the catechism teachers.

Monthly Family & Children’s Mass

On the **first Sunday of each month**, we celebrate a Family Mass at 18:00, following the catechesis session. Children are encouraged to participate actively through:

* Readings
* Collection
* Offertory procession

Groups:

First Communion Group

For children from 7 to 10 years old,
Children are encouraged to remain in this group for more than one year, both before and after receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, until they are ready to move to the Confirmation group.

 Confirmation Group:

For ages 11 to 13 years old.
This group prepares tweens and teens to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Young people are welcome to continue in the group for additional years to deepen their faith formation.

 Ages 14 and Up

Teenagers who wish to continue growing in their faith are welcome to join a dedicated youth formation group.

We warmly encourage you to invite other families who may be interested in the faith formation of their children. Together, we can help bring others closer to Jesus.

Altar Boys Ministry:

Our Altar Server Ministry warmly invites boys who have received their First Holy Communion to serve at the altar with reverence and humble devotion.

Through faithful service during Mass and other liturgical celebrations, altar servers are gently formed in faith and virtue, growing in love for the Church and her worship. The ministry fosters a strong sense of belonging within the parish community and nurtures an appreciation for the beauty and solemnity of the liturgy.
